Student councils<\/h3>\n <\/div>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

The \u201cFachschaft\u201d usually means the Student Council (FSR) or the Student Representative Council (SV). The student council itself is all students of the respective course of study from which the SV is elected once a year. The FSR is then elected from the SV, which then represents the management of the SV. Since most degree programs in meteorology are relatively small, it can also happen that the FSR is chosen directly and not an SV, since the size of the respective institution depends on the size of the degree program. The FSR takes care of, among other things, events for students such as parties, freshmen programs and holiday tutorials. Members of the FSR also sit on various committees, such as the examination board, which is responsible for the admission and recognition of examinations. Through the FSR, students are able to participate directly in decisions, express criticism and make a difference. Furthermore, the FSR acts as the first point of contact between the student body and the professors and external groups with, for example, job offers and invitations.<\/p>\n
